Speaking In Tongues

 1st CORINTHIANS 12:28-30

The Bible teaches that all who are “Baptized with the Holy Spirit” speak in tongues, and yet these verses here ask the question “-do all speak with tongues?”
This seeming confusion can only be put to rest with the understanding that there are:

TWO DIFFERENT KINDS OF TONGUES

One type of speaking in tongues in the Bible is the physical evidence of the “Baptism with the Holy Spirit”
 ACTS 2:4

-the other type of speaking in tongues mentioned in the Bible
-is the result of the soverignly-operated Gift of Tongues (also known as “various kinds of tongues”)

 1st CORINTHIANS 12:8-10

-Now look at the various verses on speaking in tongues
-and I believe you will be able to clearly see the differences and gain a fuller understanding of both types and their uses/misuses
